States Of Being

'States of Being' is the second project in their programme: a group exhibition curated by MA Fine Art student Irina Lomasa. Noticing a strong figurative element in her coursemates’ work, and an interest in portraying emotional states across a diversity of media and approaches, Lomasa sought to bring these ‘states’ together in an exhibition of what she describes as “escalating intensities”, attempting to capture essences of emotion in the language of the body.

We The Human: A Quite Blue Wall

The ONCA Gallery
Someone, somewhere or maybe even yourself needs a quiet acknowledgement that struggles with emotional and mental health too many times come from the complexities of how society is structured. This is a collaborative artwork aiming to lower the number of suicides through the use of the cultural and creative sectors. The work aims to run until 2030 when it will be archived.
This project is led by Brighton based artist Laura Mohapi and her newly founded C.I.C. The Head of a Pin.
This is a collaborative art project and everyone is invited to take part.
